Cyclone Diver Qualifies for the Junior Spring West National Championships

AMES, Iowa - Freshman Haley Haynes qualified for the Junior Spring West National Championships held April 28-30 in Minneapolis. Hayes will compete in both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events. To qualify for the nationals Haynes needed to compete in the Spring Regional Championships held in Evanston, Ill. The Region 5 Chmpionships took place on April 1-2 where Haynes competed in the 16-18 age group.
Haynes qualified for the national meet by placing second on the 1-meter with 309.70 points and fourth on the 3-meter with 334.75 points. To move on the the national meet participants needed to finish in the top six of each event.
