WHEATON, Ill.?Iowa State senior golfer Chris Baker bowed out of the USGA Publinks Amateur Tuesday afternoon, falling to Christian Raynor, 2 and 1 in second round action at the Cantigny Golf Club in Wheaton, Ill.

A native of Brownstown, Ind., Baker made it to the match play portion of the prestigious event after carding rounds of 72-77 (149) in the opening stroke play rounds. A total of 152 golfers began competition in the finals with the top 64 earning the right to go on to match play.

Baker, an all-Big 12 selection in 2005, led ISU in stroke average last season at 73.17.
