ISU Softball To Host January Clinics

AMES, Iowa ? The Iowa State softball team will be hosting offensive, defensive and pitching clinics Jan 9-10, 2010 at the Lied Recreation Center on the Iowa State University campus.
The Defensive Skills Clinic will take place Jan. 9 from 9 a.m.-noon. The clinic features instruction from ISU coaches and players on all the basic fundamentals of defensive softball for all levels of play. Individual skill development will be taught in each of the following areas: throwing, fielding, infield and outfield skills.
The Offensive Skills Clinic will be Jan. 10 from 9 a.m.-noon. The offensive clinic features hitting breakdown and instruction with drills for skill development.
The pitching clinics will be held the afternoons of Jan. 9-10. A beginner clinic will be from noon-1 p.m. both days, while a clinic for advanced pitchers will be held from 2-3 p.m. both days.
