Volleyball To Host First and Second Rounds

AMES, Iowa - Fourth-seeded Iowa State (22-5, 13-3 Big 12) will host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament and will play Horizon League champion Wisconsin-Milwaukee (25-4, 16-0 Horizon League) Friday at 7:30 p.m. CDT in the first round of postseason at Hilton Coliseum. Northern Illinois and Miami (FL) will play each other in the 5 p.m. first round match. The winners will play each other Saturday at 6:30 p.m. All matches are part of the Minneapolis Regional.

This is the third time Iowa State has been chosen to host the first and second rounds of the tournament, last playing host to George Mason, St. Louis and Wichita State in 2009. The Cyclones defeated both George Mason and Wichita State to advance to the Sweet 16 against Nebraska.

The Panthers are led by Horizon League Champions after an unblemished conference season led by league player of the year, Kerri Schuh who enters postseason averaging 3.36 kills per set, 2.83 digs per set and 1.03 blocks per set. Elizabeth Egerer was named the league's tournament MVP and averaged 3.55 kills per set during the season under Horizon League Coach of the Year, Susie Johnson.

Both Northern Illinois (28-6, 14-2 MAC) and Miami (FL) (25-4, 16-4 ACC) earned at large bids to the tournament as the Huskies were upset by Central Michigan in the conference title match on Saturday and the Hurricanes finished second in the ACC behind Florida State.

All-session tickets for the first and second round matches go on sale to the general public at noon on Monday, Nov. 28 and will be available until 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2. Cyclone season ticket holders and Cyclone Club members may purchase tickets beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday. All-session tickets are lower level reserved seating (sections 109-113, 131-135) and adult tickets can be purchased for $14. Tickets are $10 for youth (high school and younger).

Single-session tickets for Friday's first round matches will go on sale on Friday beginning at 4 p.m. with tickets for Saturday's second round match available at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. All single-session tickets are general admission in the lower corners, lower level west end and in the balcony. Prices for single-session tickets are as follows:

First Round (Friday): $10 adult, $7 youth (high school and younger)

Second Round (Saturday): $8 adult, $6 youth
