AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State volleyball team will host of its most high-profile matches of the season Saturday when the Cyclones welcome No.5 Texas to Hilton Coliseum. First serve between the Cyclones and Longhorns will be at 8 p.m.
For the final Cyclone Weekend of the season, fans with a football ticket stub can get into the volleyball match for free by showing his or her football ticket at the entrance. Students can also get in for free by presenting his or her ISU Student ID at the entrance. Tickets to the match can be purchased now on cyclones.com (click here), or the evening of the match at the Hilton Coliseum Ticket Office, located at the lower southwest corner of Hilton.
Saturday will also serve as Military Appreciation Night, current and former military members can get into the match for free by presenting his or her military ID at any entrance. Saturday night is also a Youth Team Night, teams should check in at the south concourse. The south concourse will also be the check-in point for those who purchased the Daddy-Daughter Night package.

- Winners of six of their last seven, the Iowa State volleyball team faces one of its biggest challenges of the season when they welcome No. 5 Texas to Hilton Coliseum Saturday night at 8 p.m.
- The Cyclones will be looking for their first win over UT since 2012, while the Longhorns will be looking to maintain their momentum after Texas' win on Wednesday at No. 10 Kansas propeled UT back to the top of the Big 12 standings.
- Iowa State swept West Virginia Wednesday night in Morgantown. The Iowa State offense was dominant with a .366 hitting percentage, while the ISU block recorded 9.0 blocks to help restrict WVU to a .089 hitting percentage.
- The Cyclone middle blockers keyed ISU's dominance. Alexis Conaway posted 12 kills at a .786 hitting percentage and three blocks, while Samara West had eight kills at a .615 hitting clip while tying a career-best with six total blocks.
- West and Conaway have been a dynamic one-two for Iowa State in the middle. West is averaging 2.33 kills per set at a .388 hitting percentage, while Conaway has 2.14 kps at a .372 hitting clip. The duo are also ISU's top blockers, with West averaging 0.89 blocks per set, and Conaway 0.83 bps.
- Jess Schaben recorded 10 kills against the Mountaineers. The true freshman leads ISU and ranks fifth in the Big 12 with her 3.22 kills per set. She has 16 matches in double figures for kills in 2015.
- The Cyclone defense is led by Caitlin Nolan. A 2014 AVCA Third Team All-American and Big 12 Libero of the Year, leads the Big 12 and ranks fourth in the NCAA with her 5.85 digs per set. She has recorded eight of the 12 highest single-match dig totals in the Big 12 in 2015.
