AMES, Iowa – Iowa State volleyball begins its 2018 spring campaign on Thursday when the Cyclones head to Omaha and D.J. Sokol Arena to take on Creighton at 7 p.m.
Admission to the match is free, with doors opening at 6 p.m. There will be no live video or live stats for the match.
The Cyclones and Bluejays have become frequent opponents across both the exhibition spring, and regular season fall campaigns. ISU and CU have met in each of the past two regular seasons, with the Cyclones picking up the most recent meeting in five sets over the then-No. 8 Bluejays.
Iowa State is coming off a 22-7 season and a trip to the second round of the NCAA Volleyball Championship, the Cyclones' 12th-straight appearance in the NCAA tournament. The Cyclones have a small squad for spring activities, with only nine players on the roster.
CU won the Big EAST and finished with a 26-7 overall record in 2017. Among the Jays' focuses in the spring will be replacing the production of setter Lydia Dimke and middle Marysa Wilkinson, but they return plenty of talent around the court with four starters and libero Brittany Witt all back in 2018.
