How it Happened
Iowa State led at the break, 39-29. The Cyclones started slow, going through an almost a seven-minute drought without a field goal to allow the Horned Frogs to take an early 23-20 lead.
ISU then responded with a 16-1 run to move ahead 36-24 with 1:30 left before the half. Mitrou-Long buried two of his five first-half treys in the run. He ended the half with 15 points.
TCU began the second half making 7-of-8 field goals to quickly cut the Cyclone lead to four points at 49-45 with 14:06 left in the game.
Deonte Burton scored three-straight baskets and Morris nailed a trey to push the Cyclone lead back up to 10 points (60-50) with nine minutes left.
Moments later, Jackson buried a three-pointer followed by a Bowie basket and a Morris trey off a nifty feed from Jackson, and the Cyclones quickly built their lead to 15 points (68-53) with 6:22 remaining.
