Hilary Green Adds Second Big 12 Weekly Award This Season

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State senior Hilary Green has earned the Big 12 Event Specialist of the Week for the second time this year, the league office announced Monday. Green is the first Cyclone to win Big 12 Event Specialist of the Week twice in the same season since the award was created in 2007.
The Iowa State gymnastics team has also won this award three times this season. Madeline Johnson was a recipient of the award two weeks ago, which also marks the first time that ISU has won Big 12 Event Specialist of the Week three times in the same year.
Over the weekend, Green placed first on the uneven bars in Iowa State's quad meet on Friday night with her new career high 9.925. The team also competed at Lindenwood on Sunday where Green tallied a 9.825 and finished second on bars in the tri-meet.
Green and the team will be competing in the Masters Classic at No. 16 Nebraska, which also includes No. 2 UCLA and Kent State, on Sunday at 1 p.m
