AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State volleyball team hit .426 and got 10 kills each from Mary Bisenius and Diane Kieger to defeat UMKC, 3-0 (30-9, 30-19, 30-21), on Wednesday evening at Hilton Coliseum.
With the win, ISU improves to 6-2 overall while UMKC falls to 0-8 on the season.

Game two saw Kieger propel the Cyclone attack with six kills on seven attempts. After holding UMKC to a -.281 hitting percentage in the first game, Iowa State again out hit the visitors, .395 to .077, to pick up the 30-19 win and move ahead 2-0.
The Cyclones took control of game three early, jumping out to a 13-5 lead to secure the sweep. ISU again topped the .400 mark, hitting .417 in the third game, to win 30-21. Bisenius and Jessica Klein led the way with four and five kills, respectively.
For the eighth time in as many matches this season the Cyclones had at least as many blocks as their opponents, out blocking the Kangaroos 11 to three in the match.
