LINCOLN, Neb. ? Freshman Kianna Elahi highlighted Iowa State's performance at the Frank Sevigne Husker Saturday with a victory. The Omaha, Neb. native took first place in the women's 600-yard run on the Bob Devaney Center track. This was Elahi's second consecutive win in the 600-yard run.
Sophomore Hillary Bor placed third in the 3,000-meter special with a time of 8:14.60. Sophomore Daniel Murray placed third in the 3,000-meter run, with a time of 8:42.89. Senior Ryan Williams posted a time of 1:56.64 in the 800-meter run, good enough for sixth place.

Yonas Mebrahtu made his debut in the mile Saturday in Lincoln. The freshman posted a time of 4:15.13, good enough for second place. Senior Jory Zunich placed fifth, with a time of 4:17.94.
Former Cedar Rapids Xavier standout Erin Penticoff was third in the 1,000-meters and former Ames state champ Kersten Thorgaard was third in the 800 meters.
Senior Zac Brouilette performed very well in the weight throw. The Sioux City native threw the weight 65-04.75 feet, good enough for third place.
The Cyclones will play host to the ISU Classic next weekend. The squad is looking to use the meet as preparation for the Big 12 Track and Field Indoor Championships Feb. 27-28 in College Station, Texas.
