HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. – The Iowa State women's golf team is currently in second place after two rounds at the Windy City Collegiate Classic Monday. The Cyclones ended the day with a two-round 585 tally, firing a 298 in the first round and a 287 in the second round. The Cyclones are just two strokes behind Purdue (583).
The story of the day was Cyclone freshman
Prima Thammaraks, who carded a 3-under 68 in the second round. Her 68 ties for the second lowest round in Iowa State women's golf history. She leads the medalist race by two shots (142) over teammate
Victoria Stefansen, who is in second place after firing rounds of 73 and 71 (144).
The tournament will conclude tomorrow with 18 holes.
