AMES, Iowa - Iowa State's 3,000-meter steeplechase standout Hillary Bor was one of 15 student-athletes to earn second-team Academic-All America honors in the university division, CoSIDA announced Tuesday. Bor finished his career earlier this month at the NCAA Championship in Des Moines as a four-time All-American.
This is the first time Bor has earned Academic All-America honors from CoSIDA. Earlier this year and in 2008, the Eldoret, Keyna native was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team. Bor also earned Academic All-Big 12 honors from 2009-2011. In 2008, he was named to the Division I All-Academic track and field team by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Bor earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Iowa State in December and is pursuing a Master's degree, also in accounting.
