TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Iowa State freshman Dan Curts capped off his 2014 season with a finishing time of 32:40.2 at the 2014 NCAA Cross Country Championships. Curts finished 205th overall at Indiana State's LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
Curts started towards the back of the pack, moving up consistently throughout the race. The Ellsworth, Maine, became the first Cyclone freshman to compete at the national meet since 2008.
Curts closes the season having earned All-Big 12 and All-Midwest Region accolades, placing 10th and fifth before today's race.
Oregon's Edward Cheserek won the men's individual title in 30:19.4. Colorado took home the team title behind a 65-point performance.
