Iowa State Makes Fourth-Straight NCAA Tournament

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State is dancing for a school-record fourth season in a row. The Cyclones learned the news hours after returning home from Kansas City where they repeated as Big 12 Tournament champions Saturday night.

Winners of five-straight, the Cyclones (25-8, 12-6 Big 12) earned the No. 3 seed in the South Region and will face No. 14 seed UAB (19-15, 12-6 CUSA) Thursday in Louisville, Kentucky. The game will tipoff at 11:40 a.m. CT on truTV.

The winner of the Iowa State-UAB game will play the winner of the SMU-UCLA game on Saturday.

The NCAA allocates only 550 tickets to each participating institution for the preliminary rounds of the tournament. Iowa State's NCAA ticket allotment for the preliminary rounds will be allocated as follows:

· Cyclone Club Members - 332 Tickets

· Iowa State Students - 68 tickets

· Participating Student-Athlete's Family/Guests - 76 tickets

· Coaches' Family and Administrative Travel Party - 74 tickets

UPDATED TICKET ORDERING INFO: Because of the extremely limited availability and proximity of location (Louisville) for second/third round games, only DIRECTORS (4 tickets maximum) and VICTORY (2 tickets maximum) level Cyclone Club members who are also men's basketball season ticket holders may request tickets.

The tickets requested must be for the account holder only (no “third party” will-calls). Requesting tickets does NOT guarantee fulfillment. All tickets are based on availability and will be allocated according to your 2014 Cyclone Club giving level and then by priority points within the respective level.

Ticket orders for Directors and Victory Level donors should be placed on Monday, March 16 between 9-11:30 a.m., either in person at the Iowa State Athletics Ticket Office or by phone at 888-478-2925, locally at (515) 294-1816. Ticket holders will be notified by 2 p.m. if their request cannot be fulfilled.

If tickets remain after 2:30 p.m. on March 16, they will be offered to CAPTAINS level Cyclone Club members who are also men's basketball season ticketholders. The limit will be two (2) tickets per account. All ticket orders are based on availability.

Tickets cost $100 or $66 for each session depending on seat location, but Iowa State fans will be charged only for the sessions that the Cyclones participate in. Fans that purchase second-round tickets will automatically be charged for the third-round game only if the Cyclones advance. If Iowa State does not advance, fans will not be charged nor will tickets be available for the third-round.

All tickets must be picked up at the KFC Yum! Center (by purchaser only - photo ID is required) at the Iowa State “Will Call”, located at the right of the front door entrance off Main Street on Thursday, March 19. Tickets will be available beginning 90 minutes prior to the first game of our session. If Iowa State advances to the third round, ticket pick-up will be at the same location on Saturday, March 21.
