Spring Game/Cy's House of Trivia Set For April 16

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State's 2016 Cyclone Gridiron Club Spring Football Game is slated for April 16 in Jack Trice Stadium. Admission is free and kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
The 10th annual Cy's House of Trivia will also be held on April 16 in Hilton Coliseum. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for complimentary hors d'oeuvres and beverages. The trivia contest gets underway at 6:30 p.m.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of this popular event, which debuted in 2007. From its humble beginnings with less than 30 tables, to now being sold-out with 100 tables, this fun event is one all Cyclone fans look forward to each year.
The evening features eight rounds of interactive trivia with 10 questions each round (trivia categories cover anything from movies, history, geography, music, sports and more). Cyclone celebrities, coaches, former athletes and other special guests, including head football coach Matt Campbell, will join in the fun and rotate throughout the evening as a "ninth player" helping trivia teams. The entry fee is $500 for a table of eight participants.
Trivia Teams from 2015 are given the first opportunity to renew their tables for this year's event. New teams have the chance to join in the fun by entering the lottery table registration. Non-renewed tables from last year's event, plus five tables will be placed in a random lottery to allow new teams to join in on the excitement of Cy's House of Trivia. A $50 refundable deposit is required to join the lottery pool. Winning teams will be selected at random and anyone can enter the lottery pool. If selected, the $50 fee will be applied toward the $500 table cost.
Each year's "table lottery" winners will be given the first opportunity to secure non-renewed tables the following year (if available). Priority is given to the order of the lottery selection. If all tables are renewed the following year, lottery winners will have to re-enter the "table lottery" each year.
