AMES, Iowa -Â The Iowa State Athletics Department, in conjunction with Learfield and SIDEARM Sports - a leader in collegiate athletics web solutions - launched a re-design of Cyclones.com and Cyclones.tv Friday.
The new Cyclones.com features a responsive layout and design that scales to fit the user device on desktop, tablet and mobile. The enhanced photo presentation on the homepage and sport pages also showcases high-quality action photos of Iowa State coaches and student-athletes and also includes a simplified navigation structure.
Live and on-demand video produced by Cyclones.tv is also integrated into the homepage across all devices, as well as quick access to the departments marketing initiatives and social media channels. Â
"We are very enthusiastic to partner with SIDEARM to meet our web and streaming needs for Cyclone Athletics," Senior Associate Athletics Director Steve Malchow said. "They are a proven industry leader as a technology provider and will be instrumental in helping us share Cyclone content on multiple mediums to our fans all over the world. The new site, featuring a large anchor photo on the front page, is eye-catching and yet functional. We look forward to providing Iowa State fans compelling content on various platforms beginning this fall and SIDEARM is key to that delivery."
A new, free, mobile app will also debut later this summer in time for the 2016-17 athletics season.
Cyclones.tv also receives a significant facelift for 2016-17 that includes the following features:
- A Roku channel for all Cyclones.tv programming (live and on-demand)
- Google Chromecast integration
- AppleTV via AirPlay
- Simplified login and renewal process
- Improved mobile web experience
- 24-hour live TV channel streaming
