AMES, Iowa - Iowa State head football coach Matt Campbell learned from the best. His name is Larry Kehres and he is the winningest coach in college football history (92.9 pct./ 332-24-3).
Kehres compiled his astounding record coaching Mount Union College (Ohio) for 27 seasons (1986-2012), winning 11 Division III national titles along the way.
Campbell was an All-America and played for Kehres at Mount Union from 1999-2002, compiling a 54-1 mark and three national championships. He then tacked on two more national titles (2005, 2006) as the Purple Raider offensive coordinator.
