Iowa State Faces TCU Sunday

AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State women's basketball team (10-6, 1-4 Big 12) travels to Fort Worth, Texas to take on TCU (8-8, 0-5 Big 12) on Sunday, Jan. 15 at noon. Iowa State to grab its first road win of the season against a TCU team that is in search of its first Big 12 victory. The Cyclones game will air on FSSW/FSSW+.

Averaging 78.9 points per game, the Cyclones rank 21st nationally in scoring offense. ISU has surpassed the 100-point mark twice this season against Arkansas State (105-53) and New Orleans (100-63).
Seanna Johnson currently ranks 12th in school history in points (1,439), fourth in rebounds (923) and is tied for third in double-doubles (30). She needs just 11 points to pass Lyndsey Medders and Janel Grimm for 10th in school history. Her 923 rebounds ranks eighth in the nation among active career leaders.
Johnson was also named one of 30 candidates for the Senior CLASS Award last week and is the third Cyclone in the last five years to make the initial list.
Jadda Buckley currently ranks 10th all-time in Iowa State history with 397 career assists. Her 397 career assists rank 34th nationally and third among juniors. Buckley's 6.0 assists per game, also ranks second in the Big 12 and 22nd in the nation. Her 96 assists on the season rank 22nd nationally as well.
Buckley needs just one point (999) in her career to reach the 1,000-point mark. She would be the 29th player in school history to net 1,000 career points.
The Cyclones rank fourth in the nation in free throw percentage (80.9%). ISU led the nation in 2012-13 and 2013-14 at the charity stripe.
Buckley is currently second in the nation in free-throw percentage on the year (94.4) and Bridget Carleton ranks 12th (91.1). Buckley's 87.7 career free-throw percentage is second in the ISU record and ranks second in the nation among active career leaders, just under Washington's Kelsey Plum's 88.1 percent. The NCAA record for free throw percentage in a season is 96.4 set by Penn State's Adrienne Squire in 2006.
Johnson currently ranks sixth in school history in free throws attempted (360) and is sixth in free throws made (470). She needs 24 attempts to pass Chelsea Poppens for fifth all-time and 57 makes to pass Hallie Christofferson for fifth all-time.
The 2016-17 season marks the 22nd in the tenure of Bill Fennelly. Fennelly has led Iowa State to 16 NCAA Tournament appearances, which is tied with Oklahoma as the most of any Big 12 team since 1997. Fennelly boasts a 457-228 record at Iowa State and a 623-281 record in his 28-year career as a head coach. His 623 career wins lists him in the top-20 in the NCAA among active coaches.
