Wise Grabs Second Freshman Of The Week Honor

IRVING, Texas – Freshman guard Madison Wise earned her second career Freshman of the Week honor, the league announced Monday. Wise averaged 11.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists as ISU went 1-1 on the week.
Wise led all scorers in Saturday's win at Texas Tech, tallying 17 points against the Lady raiders, while 7-of-13 from the field. Wise also grabbed five boards, including four crucial offensive rebounds. She also went 2-of-4 from deep in the contest. In the Cyclones game against Kansas State, Wise netted five points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished a career-high four assists.
Wise is one of just two Big 12 freshmen to win multiple weekly awards this season.
Iowa Stat's next game is against No. 4 Baylor on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 8 p.m. on FSN.
