




MANHATTAN, Kansas - The 23rd-ranked Iowa State women's basketball team (16-5, 6-3 Big 12) hits the road again to take on Kansas State (13-8, 4-5 Big 12) on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. The Cyclones are looking for their first sweep of the season against the Wildcats, having topped KSU 96-58 in Ames. Iowa State trails the all-time series 40-52 against the Wildcats. The Cyclones are 15-26 against KSU in Manhattan and have won the last two meetings.

- Kristin Scott has been making waves in her sophomore campaign. She currently leads the Big 12 in field goal percentage (68.4) and 3-point percentage (57.6) in league games. She is also averaging 16.3 points and 7.0 rebounds in conference play, both ranking in the top-10 in the Big 12.
- Bridget Carleton (1,814) is currently in fourth in school history in scoring, she is 52 points behind Megan Taylor in third (1,866). She also passed all-time great Angie Welle (16.3) in career scoring average, averaging 16.5 points and counting in her career. The all-time leader is Stephannie Smith, averaging 16.7 points per game in two years with ISU.
- Carleton's 432 points on the season ranks seventh in the nation and her 20.6 points per game checks in at 17th. She also ranks 14th in free throws made, with 102 on the year. Her 20.6 points and 24.0 points per game in Big 12 action ranks first in the league.
- Scott and freshman Ashley Joens captured Big 12 weekly honors after spectacular performances in conference action last week. Scott set a school record, going 11-of-11 from the floor, netting career-high 31 points, while Joens netted 17 points at Oklahoma State.
- Iowa State has shined offensively this season, ranking 10th nationally in scoring margin, topping opponents by 18.6 points per game. ISU has topped three Big 12 opponents by 30 or more points, dominating both Kansas State and TCU by 38 points and Texas Tech by 39, as all three were the largest scoring margin in the history of each series.
