AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State tennis team will get its fall season underway as they travel to Charlottesville, Virginia, to compete in the Wahoowa Invitational. The Wahoowa Invitational will be the first look at the Cyclone tennis team under new head coach Jaron Maestas.
2023 WAHOOWA INVITATIONAL
The Wahoowa Invitational will feature both singles and doubles play starting on Friday. Friday's matchups will begin at 9 a.m., Saturday at 3 p.m. and Sunday's matchups will begin at 8 a.m. The Cyclones will compete against players from Virginia, James Madison, Maryland, Penn State and Princeton.
The draws will be set later this week.
IN THE RANKINGS
Iowa State has one player in the national rankings to open the year, with Anna Supapitch Kuearum coming into the rankings at No.120.
Supapitch and the Cyclones should have an opportunity to face ranked opponents this weekend.

CYCLONE TENNIS QUICK HIT
A new look – In addition to a new coaching staff, the only returner from last year's team is Anna Supapitch Kuearum. She brings a resume that has four ranked doubles wins and two ranked singles wins, including a win over No. 39 Mell Reasco from Georgia.
