The No. Cyclones took down No. 19 Minnesota (194.425), Michigan State (191.775) and UW-Stout (185.550). This is the third time that Iowa State has gone 3-0 in a quad meet this season, and are now 13-2 overall on the year. Iowa State also earned its second-best team score of the season, and their highest team floor score as well. Â
Even though the team recorded a solid score tonight, head coach Jay Ronayne still wants more for his Cyclones.
"We had a couple of wins, but it almost felt like a loss," Ronayne said. "We had opportunities to record a really big score, but I am fired up for Sunday's meet. I'm fired up and I hope the team is too, because there is another opportunity out there. We can use what we experienced and move forward and get better."

Iowa State recorded a season-high on floor tonight with a score of 49.175. Kelsey Paz earned a new season-high with a 9.875 as well as Briana Ledesma with a 9.850. Senior Hilary Green
"Usually before I go, I get an overwhelming calmness, I don't know why it happens, but it happens and fortunately it was great. Honestly, that's the routine I do in the gym and this year it seems like this year it's coming out. I'm not afraid to go after it because I have nothing to be afraid of. I've been doing it so long so why not just go all in."
Vault
Iowa State started the night with a 48.850 on vault. Meaghan Sievers recorded her third 9.875 this season. Sophia Steinmeyer returned to the lineup after being out due to injury and notched a 9.825. Haylee Young also added a 9.825 and Briana Ledesma scored a 9.775. Kelsey Paz and Kelly Martin both tallied 9.550's.
Head Coach Jay Ronayne
"I was very stressed the with the way we started on vault. That was not the vault team we have put out there this year. I have been very comfortable with this team on vault this season. In the end, we had a weird start but finished vault very well."
Balance Beam
The Cyclones notched a 48.800 as a team on beam tonight. Haylee Young earned a 9.900, which is the second time she has totaled a 9.900 and above on beam this season. Kelsey Paz had another solid performance scoring 9.800. Meaghan Sievers and Molly Russ added 9.725s to the team score and Ariana Orrego started the event with a 9.650.
Senior Haylee Young
"I think that a lot of the girls that went up tonight and hit a great beam routine deserved better than what they got. I was happy with my performance. I thought I had one of my best beam routines this year. I think beam as a team was amazing tonight. It didn't show up in the scores, but that's not always going to happen."
All-Around
Iowa State had two all-arounders tonight. Haylee Young scored a 39.350 which is her third highest all-around score this season. Meaghan Sievers was the other all-arounder as she racked up a 39.175 which is her third highest all-around score this season as well.
