LARAMIE, Wyo. -- Jay Stoner threw two touchdown passes, and Marques Brigham and Mike Jenkins rushed for two scores apiece as Wyoming charged out to a 25-point halftime lead en route to a 56-10 romp over Iowa State.
Iowa State (0-2) managed a 42-yard field goal by Jamie Cole before the Cowboys countered with Jenkins' 15-yard touchdown run. In the second quarter, Wyoming collected 14 points in a 15-second span to jump ahead 21-3.
After Stoner tossed a 12-yard score to Jason Ringenberg, Ryan Van Emmerik intercepted on the Cyclones 22. Three plays later, Brigham charged in from nine yards to put Wyoming up 21-3 early in the second quarter.
Jenkins added another second-quarter TD run and the Cowboys (1-1) took a 28-3 lead into the half. Wyoming ran up 428 yards of total offense, including 207 on the ground.
