Individual Notes
• Freshman place-kicker Bret Culbertson connected on his first career field goal attempt.

• Culbertson's two field goals (22, 34) today are the most for a Cyclone kicker in a game since Adam Benike made three field goals on Sept. 27, 2003, at Northern Illinois.

• Brent Curvey's 30-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown is his second fumble recovery for touchdown in as many weeks. It is also his second touchdown of the season on fumble recoveries which is a school record. • Stevie Hicks' six-yard carry on the second play of the game put him at 1,000 rushing yards for his career.

• Stevie Hicks' 110 rushing yards today is the fourth time in his career that he has gained 100 rushing yards in a game or more. Hicks now has 631 rushing yards this season.

• Stevie Hicks' 30 carries today are a career-high. His previous high was 29 carries for 108 rushing yards at Colorado.

• Head Coach Dan McCarney won his 20th game in the Big 12 Conference and his 15th game since 2000.

Team Notes
• The touchdown by Brent Curvey is the fifth time the Iowa State Defense has scored a touchdown. That is a school record. The previous record was three defensive touchdowns in 1972. The Cyclone Defense has three interception returns for touchdown and two fumble recoveries.

• This is the second consecutive game in which the Iowa State defense has forced four turnovers. The Cyclones picked off three passes and recovered one fumble.

• This is the third time this season that Iowa State has intercepted three or more passes in a game (at Colorado, Northern Illinois). This last happened in 1980 (San Jose State, Iowa, Kansas State).

• The 13 points are the fewest points to win a game since Iowa State recorded a 13-10 victory on Oct. 11, 1986, at Kansas.

• The 192 total yards is the fewest yards gained in Iowa State win since the Cyclones gained 190 yards in 20-17 victory over Vanderbilt on Sept. 21, 1985.

• The 192 total yards is the fewest recorded in a win since a 23-21 win at Oklahoma State on Nov. 22, 1980. Iowa State only gained 155 yards in that game.
