ISU Continues Fall Action

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. ? The Iowa State women's golf squad competes in its third event of the fall season when it travels to face a 19-team field at the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate at the Oak Point Golf Club hosted by the College of Charleston Oct. 30-31. ISU has finished seventh at the Lady Badger Invitational and eighth at the Sunflower Invitational. The first two rounds will be played Monday followed by an 8:30 a.m. start for Tuesday's final round.

Iowa State has faced several teams scheduled to compete including Kansas State, Louisville, Arkansas-Little Rock and Wisconsin. The Cyclones are rated 84^th of 227 teams in the Oct. 23 Golfweek rankings.

After two events, freshman Pennapa Pulsawath leads ISU in stroke average with a 77.83 mark through six rounds. Christi Athas (78.16) and Karly Pinder (78.50) recorded top-10 finishes at the Sunflower Invitational, placing 10^th and ninth, respectively. Juniors Kendra Hanson (81.50) and Jessica Shin (82.33) round out the Cyclones' scoring.

The Cyclones close out the fall season at the three-day Aloha Invitational in Kauai, Hawaii, Nov. 22-24.
