AMES, Iowa- Iowa State women's golfers Christi Athas and Kendra Hanson finished third and fourth, respectively, at the 2006 Iowa Women's State Amateur, July 24-26 at Des Moines Golf Country Club.
Athas, a senior from Eldora, Iowa, carded rounds of 72-73-71 for a 216 total and Hanson, a junior from Forest City, Iowa, posted a 221 total (74-75-72).
Athas will be representing Iowa State at the 2006 United States Women's Amateur, Aug. 7-13 at Pumpkin Ridge Country Club in North Plains, Ore.
