Paulson Ties Record, Leads Iowa State in Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Iowa State women's golf team finished in 10th place at the Mountain View Collegiate in Tucson, Ariz. The Cyclones saved their best round for the last day, firing a 297 this afternoon to card a three-round 903 tally.
Freshman Kristin Paulson shot a career-low 69 (3-under) today to move ahead 32 spots in a tie for 33rd. She shot the third-lowest round out of all 98 competitors and tied for the lowest round ever for an Iowa State women's golfer. Junior Pennapa Pulsawath led all Cyclones with a 224 (76-74-74) to finish in a tie for 27th.
San Jose State's Erica Moston took home medalist honors with a 7-under 209. The Spartans also won the team title, as UNLV and Louisville rounded out the top three.
The Cyclones next hit the links Apr. 6-7 at the Indiana University Invitational in Bloomington, Ind. It will be ISU's final tuneup before the Big 12 Championships on Apr. 24.
