AMES, Iowa - Arguably one of the greatest senior classes in Iowa State wrestling history graduated from ISU this past weekend, leaving behind them a slew of records and honors. The awards range from NCAA individual titles to Big 12 Conference championships. However, the biggest awards from their careers are the ones they received Friday and Saturday; their college degrees.
"This group exemplifies what our Iowa State wrestling program is about," said ISU head coach Kevin Jackson. "The success they achieved on the mat is important, no doubt. But the fact that they are graduating with their degrees is outstanding. The way these guys conducted themselves in and out of the classroom is partly why they will be remembered as great Cyclones."
