Moody Named Big 12 Freshman of the Week

AMES, Iowa - For the second-straight week, Iowa State freshman guard Nikki Moody has been named the Big 12's Freshman of the Week by a media voting panel for her performance in games against Penn State and Butler.
Moody averaged 11.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists as Iowa State split games at the Reno Thanksgiving Tournament. She hit a career-high five three-pointers (5-of-7) against Butler to finish with 15 points. Moody added seven points and four rebounds against No. 17/16 Penn State in her first game against a nationally-ranked opponent.
Iowa State returns to action Sunday when it travels to Michigan. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. (CST) at Crisler Arena.
