Iowa State Stays on the Road, Travels to Texas

AMES, Iowa - -Iowa State (16-7, 6-4), tied for fourth in the Big 12 standings, travels to Texas (10-13, 2-8) on Wednesday, as UT welcomes the return of preseason All-Big 12 selection Myck Kabongo.

-Iowa State (16-7, 6-4), tied for fourth in the Big 12 standings, travels to Texas (10-13, 2-8) on Wednesday, as UT welcomes the return of preseason All-Big 12 selection Myck Kabongo.

-Iowa State won the first meeting between the two schools in Ames earlier this season (82-62), but the Cyclones are just 1-9 all-time in games played in Austin, losing four-straight. ISU's lone win at the Erwin Center was on Feb. 5, 2005 (92-80 ot).

-Iowa State currently owns a 20-game homecourt winning streak, the fourth-best string in school history and the fifth-best active streak in the NCAA. ISU is the only Big 12 school with a perfect homecourt record (13-0).

-Iowa State leads the Big 12 and ranks sixth nationally in 3-pointers per game (9.3), connecting on 10 or more treys 12 times this season and 39 times in the Fred Hoiberg era. ISU has made 10 or more treys in four of the last five games, averaging 10.2 3FG pg in that span.

-Iowa State is shooting better from downtown in road games. In eight true road games this year, ISU has connected on 78-of-209 of its treys (37.3 pct.) for a 9.8 3FGpg clip. ISU has made 11 or more treys in four of eight road games this season.

-Iowa State leads the Big 12 and ranks ninth nationally in scoring at 78.3 ppg. ISU has scored 70 points or more in 87.0 pct of its games, ranking second nationally (LIU-Brooklyn- 87.5 pct.).

-Iowa State is 47-of-55 from the free-throw line (85.5 pct.) in its last three games and has connected on 48.9 percent of its field goals (107-219 FG) in its last four games.

-ISU has five players averaging double figures in scoring in league play.
