AMES, Iowa – A total of 15 former Iowa State football players are hoping to keep their dreams alive by participating in NFL Training Camps this preseason.
The list features veterans Tim Dobbins (Atlanta Falcons) and Ahtyba Rubin (Cleveland Browns), and includes a slew of Cyclone NFL hopefuls who played under Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads: Carter Bykowski (San Francisco 49ers), A.J. Klein (Carolina Panthers), Jake Knott (Philadelphia Eagles), Jake McDonough (Washington Redskins), Josh Lenz (Indianapolis Colts), Leonard Johnson (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), Kelechi Osemele (Baltimore Ravens), David Sims (Indianapolis Colts), Reggie Stephens (Baltimore Ravens), Jeremy Reeves (New York Jets), Deon Broomfield (Buffalo Bills), Jeremiah George (New York Jets) and Jansen Watson (Oakland Raiders).
This fact affirms the improvement ISU has made in producing NFL-caliber talent under Rhoads.
George is the most recent NFL draftee, going in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft to the New York Jets.
Knott and Klein both got their first taste of NFL action as rookies in 2013.
