ISU to Celebrate Brown's Senior Night Vs. Temple

AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State gymnastics team closes out its regular season home schedule Friday evening at Hilton Coliseum against Temple. The meet begins at 6:30 p.m.
The meet will serve as Senior Night as Iowa State celebrates the career of its lone senior this year, Caitlin Brown. Fans are encouraged and reminded to stay in their seats after the meet and after the regular awards ceremony for the Senior Night festivities.
Tickets to the meet are $5 and can be purchased on the day of the meet at the Hilton Coliseum Ticket Office, located at the lower Southwest corner of Hilton. Iowa State men's and women's basketball season ticket holders should have received an email today to present for free admission to the meet on Friday night.

Cyclone Headlines
- The Iowa State gymnastics has its final home meet of the regular season Friday when the Cyclones host Temple inside Hilton Coliseum at 6:30 p.m.
- The meet will serve as Senior Night, with Iowa State honoring its lone senior this season, Caitlin Brown, after the meet.
- Iowa State was at Iowa last weekend, with the Hawkeyes winning the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series contest 195.775-195.175.
- Brown led the Cyclone effort, tying a season-high with her 39.375 in the all-around. Her performance was peaked with a 9.900 on the balance beam, her third time this season with a 9.900 or better on the event.
- The balance beam has been where Brown has excelled this season, as she is tied for 12th nationally with an RQS of 9.885 on. On Jan. 18 in the Beauty and the Beast meet, Brown tied Iowa State's school record for the event with a 9.950.
- Brown ranks 24th nationally in the all-around with an all-around RQS of 39.265. Not far behind her is freshman Haylee Young, who is 26th nationally and third among freshemn with her all-around RQS of 39.255.
- Young bounced back from a challenging meet at Penn State with a 39.225 in the all-around at Iowa. She tied her career-high on vault (9.875) and floor exercise (9.900).
- Iowa State posted its best score of the season on floor at Iowa, recording a 49.125. Freshman Hilary Green set a career-high with a 9.875, while Brown was also good with her 9.850. Kelsey Paz contributed a 9.800.
- Young is one of five Cyclones this season to score a 9.900 or better on an apparatus, joining Alex Marasco (vault) Brown (beam), Hilary Green (bars) and Sammie Pearsall (beam). The last time ISU had at least five gymnasts with scores of at least 9.900 was 2007 (Janet Anson, Megan Barnes, Katie Lasher, Katie Sweetin, Jasmine Thompson).
- Kelsey Paz, a freshman from Sioux City, has impressed since transitioning from all-around to three events. Among the highlights has been a career-high 9.875 score on balance beam against Centenary. In the meet against the Ladies, Paz also posted a career-best 9.800 on vault.
