Chayanun Is Second-Round Leader at MountainView

TUCSON, Ariz. – The No. 25 Iowa State women's golf team is in sixth place after rounds of 285 and 293 (578) today at the MountainView Collegiate. Florida International is the team leader at 570.
Senior Chonlada Chayanun is at the top of the individual leaderboard at 137. Chayanun shot a 67 in the first round for her seventh sub-70 score of the season. She followed that up with a 70 in round two to hold a one-shot lead at 7-under. Chayanun has placed in the top-10 in each of her last two events, including the tournament title at the Lady Puerto Rico.
Freshman Celia Barquin shot back-to-back even-par rounds (72-72=144) to currently sit in a tie for 19th. Fellow freshman Nattapan Siritrai is just one shot back of Barquin at 145 (T29).
The final round of the MountainView Collegiate is tomorrow.
