Keys of the Game
Iowa State's offense and defense dominated from the start as the Cyclones rolled out to a 45-3 lead at the end of the first half.

After Texas Tech notched a field goal for its only points of the first half, Jacob Park ran for his first touchdown and put the Cyclones up 14-3 at the end of the first quarter.
ISU rattled off five touchdowns in the second quarter, including a 34-yard one-handed grab by Allen Lazard from Park. Lanning added a five-yard TD run and Kamari Cotton-Moya picked off a Patrick Mahomes II pass and returned it 48 yards for a touchdown, ISU's first defensive score since 2014.
Lanning continued his impressive rushing performance with another two scores on the ground in the second half, one from 19 yards and another from 35 yards, to become the first Cyclone since Ennis Haywood tallied four scores against Kansas in 2001.
The offense racked up 608 yards of total offense, the sixth-most in school history.
