- The Cyclones have wins against the teams currently ranked No. 2 (Kansas), No. 3 (Oklahoma) and No. 8 (Iowa) in the AP top-10...ISU has won 22 games against ranked opponents in the last three seasons, which is second nationally in that time...ISU is one of just five teams with at least five RPI top-25 wins.

- ISU has had seven different players score 20 or more points and is only top-25 team with six active players averaging 10 or more points...ISU is the Big 12's top scoring team (83.1), the most by a Cyclone team since averaging 85.1 points in 1993-94...the Cyclones are second nationally and lead the Big 12 shooting 50.4 percent from the field...two players (Morris, Niang) rank among the top-90 players in FG percentage.
- Georges Niang is leading the Cyclones with 19.5 points per game, which is second among Big 12 players...his 2,055 career points rank third in ISU history and are sixth in Big 12 history...Niang is just 28 points away from becoming the Big 12's leading scorer in conference games only (Bernard King, TAMU)...he has scored in double figures in 37 consecutive games, including 20 or more points 12 times this season....Niang is the winningest player in school history (94 wins).
- Niang is one of 26 players since 1996-97 to have three seasons averaging at least 15.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists.
- Monté Morris, a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award, continues to be a rock for the Cyclones, leading the Big 12 in assists (7.2) and assist-to-turnover ratio (4.5)...he is also tied for first in steals (1.9)...no player has ever led the league in all three stat categories in a season...Morris already owns two of the top-three assist-to-turnover ratios in NCAA history and is fourth nationally this season...he is on pace to break Jeff Hornacek's single-season assist per game mark of 6.8...he is the fourth Cyclone to dish out 200 assists in a season and needs 43 dimes to tie Jamaal Tinsley's single-season record.

- Matt Thomas has hit a three-pointer in 18 consecutive games, matching Chris Babb for the seventh-longest streak in school history...he is second in the Big 12 averaging 2.5 threes made per game and is shooting 42.6 percent from behind the arc (fifth in Big 12)...ISU is 10-1 when Thomas scores at least 12 points as a starter.
