MADISON, Wis. – The Iowa State men's golf team remains in the lead after the second round of the Badger Invitational this afternoon. The Cyclones carded a 288 today for a two-day 574 total (2-under).
Nevada made a jump today (292-285=577) to sit three strokes behind the Cyclones in second place with one round to go.
The Cyclones have two players currently in the top-five in junior Denzel Ieremia (71-71=142) and senior Nick Voke (70-72=142), who are both tied for fifth in the medalist race. Ieremia had five birdies today en route to his second-straight 1-under 71. Senior Ruben Sondjaja also fired a 71 this afternoon to move into a tie for 25th in the individual standings.
Freshman Tripp Kinney (71-74=145) is currently tied for 15th.
The final round will conclude tomorrow with 18 holes.
