AMES, Iowa – Iowa State senior wide receiver Allen Lazard has accepted an invitation to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl, held January 27th in Mobile, Ala.
Played annually since 1950, The Reese's Senior Bowl is one of the nation's best collegiate all-star games.
The NFL Network will broadcast the game.
A native of Urbandale, Iowa, Lazard is one of the greatest receivers in Iowa State history, ranking No. 1 in career receptions (225), receiving yards (3,123) and 100-yard receiving games (11).
Lazard's 25 career touchdown catches is second in school history and he's caught a pass in all 46 games of his career, the nation's longest active streak among current FBS players.
The senior has had another fantastic season, leading the team in receptions (55), receiving yards (704) and touchdown receptions (9). His nine touchdown catches is tied for first on ISU's season record list.
Lazard was a First-Team All-Big 12 selection in 2016 and was a member of the Biletnikoff Award and Senior Class Award watch lists during the season.
