Cyclones Finish Sixth At Badger Invite

MADISON, Wis. – The Iowa State men's golf team tied for sixth place at the Badger Invitational. The Cyclones carded a three-round 862 total (293-281-288).

Texas A&M (276-284-279=839) won the tournament, finishing six strokes ahead of second place Kansas (288-280-277=845).

Senior Denzel Ieremia (73-68-71=212) paced the Cyclones, tying for 10th for his seventh career top-10 showing. He was under par in the final two rounds, including his 11^th career sub-70 card in the second round.

True freshman Lachlan Barker (T15) was solid in his college debut, posting a 214 (72-70-72), which included 11 birdies.

Tripp Kinney tied for 25^th, finishing the tournament with a 1-under 71 this afternoon (72-73-71=216).

The Cyclones will be back on the links Sunday, September 24 at the Northern Intercollegiate in Sugar Gove, Ill.
