• Iowa State got into a big hole early and it was too much to dig out of as it fell to Iowa, 84-68, on Thursday, Dec. 12...the Cyclones trailed by 15 points at the break and trimmed the Hawkeye lead to just seven points before Iowa went on a run that put away the game.
• ISU had just two players in double figures, led by 22 points from Tyrese Haliburton...Solomon Young scored 10 points.
• The Cyclones shot just 34.4 percent in the first half but 48.6 percent in the second stanza.
• George Conditt IV had a career-best eight rebounds against the Hawkeyes.

• Iowa State and Purdue Fort Wayne are meeting for the second time...ISU owns a 1-0 edge in the series, having defeated the Mastodons 78-51 in 2003...Jackson Vroman had 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead five Cyclones in double figures...PFW was led by Ric Wyand's 15 points as ISU held it to just 31.4 percent shooting.
