IRVING, Texas – Senior guard Bridget Carleton collected her fourth Big 12 Player of the Week honor of the season, the league announced Monday. Today's honor marks the 14th Big 12 weekly honor for the Chatham, Ontario, Canada native, which ranks first in school history and fourth in Big 12 history, tying former Big 12 Player of the year Odyssey Sims.
Carleton led Iowa State to a 1-1 week in Big 12 action while averaging a 29.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals. Carleton went 13-of-23 for 34 points and added 10 rebounds on the road at TCU. At home, she dropped 24 points and recorded seven rebounds and four steals on the afternoon against Oklahoma.
Carleton is the Big 12's leading scorer, averaging 21.3 points. She also ranks fourth in rebounds (8.4) and fifth in assists (4.3). She has also won more Big 12 Player of the Week honors than any other Big 12 women's basketball player this season.
Iowa State is back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 20 when it takes on Oklahoma at 10:30 a.m.. The game will air on FS OK+.
