AMES, Iowa – Iowa State announced today organizational changes within the athletics department.
The ISU Letterwinners Club will combine with Student-Athlete Affairs to form a new office called Student-Athlete and Letterwinner Engagement. This combination will allow the department to increase the efficiency in serving both our current and former student-athletes.
The office, led by Assistant Athletics Director Lindsey Long, will concentrate on student-athlete career development, job attainment and community outreach, in addition to letterwinners events, reunions, traditions and engagement.
"Our student-athletes are the No. 1 resource for the department," Iowa State Athletics Director Jamie Pollard said. "This restructure allows us to improve the mentoring of current student-athletes and providing them a better transition to life after college. It also will reinforce our mission to keep our athletic alumni engaged into Cyclone Athletics."
Joanna Beaton, will serve as Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Engagement, Marissa Griffith, as Assistant Director of Letterwinner Engagement & Traditions, and Allye Bodholdt as an Associate.
The Department also announced the merger of Premium Services & Special Events. This area, led by Director Molly Donnelly, will oversee the handling of premium services on gamedays (suites & clubs), premium space rentals and special events (Cyclone Tailgate Tour, spirit rallies, etc.).
Madison Lord, will serve as Assistant Director, and help service premium patrons and donors, while engaging external constituents at special events.
"Our staff does a fantastic job hosting our donors in the clubs and suites during football gamedays and in Johnny's during basketball," Pollard said. "They also do a nice job of engaging our loyal fans at numerous events hosted by the department."
