AMES, Iowa – Great news, Cyclone Nation. You got your wish.
For the first time in school history, Iowa State will host ESPN College GameDay built by the Home Depot on Saturday, Sept. 14, prior to the Cyclones' home football game vs. Iowa in the annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series showdown.
Kickoff for the game is 3 p.m. CT on FS1.
"We are thrilled to have Gameday in Ames for the first time in school history," Iowa State head football coach Matt Campbell said. "College football Saturdays are an event, and ESPN has done a tremendous job in promoting this great game with GameDay. We are excited to showcase our great University, football program and fans to a national audience. I know our fans will be thrilled to a part of this special event."
ESPN GameDay, the station's signature college football pregame show, begins at 8 a.m. CT on ESPN. The set will be located South of the stadium in the grassy area between the Sukup End Zone Club and Reiman Gardens.
This will be the 67th meeting between Iowa State and Iowa.
ESPN's College GameDay built by the Home Depot boasts the top college football analysts nationally. This year's lineup features Rece Davis (host), Lee Corso (analyst), Kirk Herbstreit (analyst), Desmond Howard (analyst), David Pollack (contributor) and Maria Taylor (reporter/contributor).
