AMES, Iowa – The Big 12 Conference and ESPN previously announced that the Iowa State men's basketball game vs. Kansas on Jan. 8, 2020 will be streamed live at 7 p.m. on Big 12 Now/ESPN+.
The league's new digital network – Big 12 Now/ESPN+ – will be the only carrier of the live telecast.
Big 12 Now/ESPN+ is a direct-to-consumer subscription streaming service. The network is available via iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Fire TV, Fire Tablet, Android Phone / TV / Tablet, Roku, Samsung Smart TV, Google Chromecast, Playstation 4, Xbox One and Oculus Go.
"From a historical perspective, ESPN's decision to move games to this new digital platform is simply a continuation of technology advances similar to when sporting events were moved from radio to over-the-air TV a cable TV to satellite TV," Director of Athletics Jamie Pollard said. "It will not be long before digital telecasts will feel like they have been around forever."
ESPN and the Big 12 have created a video with step-by-step instructions for setting up a subscription ($4.99 per month) and accessing Big 12 Now/ESPN+.
