LAWRENCE, Kan. – For the eighth time in the last 10 years, the Iowa State women are Big 12 Cross Country Champions. The Cyclones ran away from the field at Rim Rock Farm, taking the title with 39 team points, which was well clear of second-place Texas at 62 team points.
Cailie Logue continued her dominance amongst her Big 12 peers. The Erie, Kan., native claimed her third-straight individual Big 12 crown with a 6k time of 20:00.5. Logue becomes just the second ever three-time Big 12 Champion and is Iowa State's second four-time All-Big 12 performer alongside Perez Rotich.
Three other Cyclone runners joined Logue on the Big 12 medal stand as All-Big 12 performers. Brenna Cohoon was the top-finishing freshmen in the field, earning a fifth-place finish with a time of 21:11.5. Winrose Chesang was close behind her, finishing seventh individually in 21:13.7. Dana Feyen finished outside the top-30 at the 2019 Big 12 Championship, but raced to an eighth-place finish at Rim Rock Farm on Friday. She crossed the finish line in 21:21.0.
Janette Schraft finished just outside of medal contention, earning an 18th-place finish in 21:46.0. Grace Dickel finished 21st individually with a 6k time of 22:00.3. Madelynn Hill and Sarah Murrow rounded out the ISU lineup at the Big 12 Championship. Hill finished 31st in 22:10.3, followed by Murrow in 59th in 23:34.1.
