LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Iowa State men's cross country team raced to a team victory at the Bob Timmons Classic on Saturday morning, taking the top-three individual spots and five in the top-nine. Cyclone rookie Wesley Kiptoo made is Cardinal and Gold debut and claimed the individual crown with a 6k time of 18:06.0, seven seconds clear of the field.
ISU veterans Festus Lagat and Milo Greder finished on Kiptoo's heals, taking second and third, respectively. Lagat posted a 6k time of 18:19.6, followed closely by Greder in 18:22.0
Thomas Pollard and Nehemia Too also posted top-nine finishes. Pollard posted a sixth-place finish with a time of 18:33.2, while Too finished ninth in 18:46.3
Jeffery Pedersen and Jared Schuckman rounded out the Cyclone lineup at Rim Rock farm. Pedersen took 22nd individually in 19:36.3, just ahead of Schuckmanin 23rd in 19:37.1.

The Cyclones will rest up next weekend as they prepare for the regular season finale at the Gan Creek Classic on Saturday, Oct. 3 in Columbia, Mo.
