LINCOLN, Nebraska – Iowa State got its weekend of track and field underway at the Husker Invitational. The highlight of the day at the Devaney Center came from another strong performance by Bria Barnes in the 400-meter dash.
Last week at the Razorback Invitational, Barnes posted her indoor collegiate best time in the 400m at 55.66, and she lowered it again Friday evening, posting a 55.50 to win her heat and finish in third place overall for the event. Barnes remains ranked eighth in ISU history for the indoor 400-meter run.
Friday also saw the collegiate debut of James Ezeonu, with the Irishman finishing 14th in the prelims of the 60-meter hurdles in 8.48.
