Cy's House Of Trivia Returns To Hilton Coliseum

AMES, Iowa - Cy's House of Trivia 2022 returned to Hilton Coliseum on Saturday night after a two-year hiatus. The fan-friendly event was another sellout as 100 teams and 800 participants crowded the Hilton Coliseum floor to see who would come out on top in the trivia competition.
"It was great to see the energy and excitement in Hilton on Saturday night," senior associate athletics director, Frank Nogel said. "Our loyal trivia night participants did not miss a beat after being away for two years. Their enthusiasm for Cyclone athletics is why our coaches and staff look forward to this event each year."
Tables of eight players answered eight rounds of questions (10 questions in each round) to see who could get the most answers correct. Categories in this year's contest included: Hey Alexa, Poetry, Business, Romantic Movies, Classic Toys, Fashionably Late, Winter Olympics and Disney+.
ISU celebrities, including coaches, staff and former Iowa State letter winners, rotated among the tables helping teams answer questions. This year's celebrity list included Cyclone Football head coach Matt Campbell and his staff, the "Voice of the Cyclones" John Walters and current NFL star Allen Lazard just to name a few.Â
Andy Fales and Keith Murphy, WHO-TV personalities and co-hosts of the sports-based show SoundOff, emceed the event.
The top six placing teams were awarded prizes; those teams were: 1. Cy & the Family Clone, 2. You Only Live Trice, 3. 3 Martini Big Wheel, 4. Clueless Cardinal&Gold, 5. The DiCYples and 6. Quizzard of Otz.
