Downing Accepts Invite To NFLPA Collegiate Bowl

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State offensive lineman Trevor Downing has accepted an invitation to play in the 2023 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, which will be played Saturday, January 28 at Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California. It is the 11^th edition of the game with 2023 game being aired on NFL Network.

Downing joins fellow Cyclone Anthony Johnson Jr., on the roster.

The Creston, Iowa, native was a three-time All-Big 12 offensive lineman for the Cyclones, including second-team honors in 2022 after playing center for the first time in his career. He was on the Rotary Lombardi, Outland and Rimington watch lists as a senior.

Downing started 38 games in his career and anchored an offensive line that averaged 369.8 yards and passed for 261.8 yards, the third-best mark in school history, in 2022.
