IOWA STATE GAME NOTES
MEDIA CENTER
No. 12 Iowa State will be looking to extend its winning streak to five games, which would match its best of the season, on Wednesday night at Kansas State. The Cyclones are coming off one of their best wins of the season, coming back from a big first quarter deficit to take down then-No. 14 Oklahoma 86-78 at Hilton Coliseum on Saturday.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Overall:Â KSU Leads 53-47
In Manhattan:Â KSU Leads 28-18
Fennelly vs. Kansas State:Â 39-21
FOUR THINGS
1 – Wins needed by head coach Bill Fennelly to reach 750 for his career. Of those 749, 583 have come during his tenure at Iowa State (the other 166 at Toledo).
12 – Ashley Joens is now a 12-time Big 12 Player of the Week, which ties her for second in Big 12 history with her old ISU teammate Bridget Carleton (2016-19).
36.7 – Opponents' field goal percentage against the Cyclones this season. Iowa State has only held teams under 36 percent shooting for the season once in program history, doing so in 2009-10 at 35.7 percent.
881 – The Cyclones have made at least one 3-point field goal in an NCAA-record 881 consecutive games, a streak which encapsulates the entirety of the Bill Fennelly Era at Iowa State.
MOVIN' ON UP!
Ashley Joens continues to add to her career accolades both at Iowa State and at a larger, national level. Her 32-point outing in the win over No. 14 Oklahoma on Saturday saw her move up to 2,752 career points, which is now third in Big 12 history and 31st in the history of NCAA Division I women's college basketball.
LEAVING THE STATION!
Morgan Kane's recall to the Iowa State starting lineup has coinsided with the Cyclones' four-game winning run, and the redshirt senior has been a big part of it. Across the last four games, Kane is averaging 8.8 points per game, which she has done at 66.7 percent shooting and has grabbed 6.5 rebounds per contest, all in 20.0 minutes of action.
