No. 14 Iowa State Sweeps Memphis, 4-0

STARKVILLE, Miss. – No. 14 Iowa State (6-1) cruised past Memphis (1-5), 4-0, to earn its second-straight sweep of the road trip and fourth-straight win overall.

Highlighting the day for head coach Boomer Saia and his team was Miska Kadleckova. With a career record of 106-41, the junior from Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, moved up to No. 13 on the program's all-time wins list.

Kadleckova also extended her singles winning streak to nine matches with her win today.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cyclones opened up the day going 2-1 in doubles play. Sophomore Ange Oby Kajuru and senior Chie Kezuka dropped their match at the No. 1 spot to the Tigers' Emily Meyer and and Aran Teixido Garcia, 6-2. Iowa State would then go on to win the next two doubles matches. At the No. 2 spot, Thasaporn Naklo and Anna Supapitch Kuearum swept Camila Soares and Monique Woog, 6-0, to improve to 11-0 as a duo this season. Then, at the No. 3 spot, Kadleckova, playing with newcomer Xinyi Nong, clinched the doubles point by taking down Carlota Farres Carreter and Miriam Grosmann, 6-3.

Headed into singles play, Iowa State was up, 1-0, in the team score and would clinch the match by winning the next three singles matches.

First to finish for the Cyclones was Kezuka at the No. 5 spot. Earning her 10^th singles victory on the year, Kezuka defeated Micah Pierce, 6-1, 6-0.

Following Kezuka, Kadleckova finished her match second at the No. 4 spot, beating Monique Woog, 6-2, 6-0.

Then, earning the victory for Iowa State was freshman Nong, who came out on top against Miriam Grosmann, 6-4, 6-1.

No. 14 Iowa State will travel to Seattle to compete in the ITA National Indoor Championships next weekend.
